When should I schedule my flights?

It is mandatory that all cruisers arrive no later than October 14th, the day before the ship departs in Seattle, WA at the Seattle Airport. This is due to the fact that many unforeseen travel and weather occurrences could hinder your ability to arrival in a timely manner, preventing you to be able to sail with us the next day.

Our group hotel is the Sea-Tac Airport Marriott. Special discounted rates are available for all that register with the Alpha and Omega group by making your reservations through Sovereign Cruises.

When making your return flight arrangements, make sure that your flight leaves AFTER 12:00 Noon from the Seattle Airport.

What to Pack

Whether on the ship or in a port of call, stylish resort wear is fine for both men and women. For warmer climates, this includes walking shorts and polo shirts, swim suits and cover-ups, lightweight slacks or skirts, and a light sweater. When visiting cooler climates, casual clothing that can be easily layered for warmth or comfort is recommended, along with a raincoat or umbrella, waterproof hat and gloves.

On all Celebrity cruises, it's wise to bring along comfortable, rubber-soled shoes, hat, sunglasses and a good sunscreen. Remember to pack any prescription medications or other personal care items you'll need.
What not to Pack

For the safety of our guests, the following items are not allowed onboard:

  • Irons
  • Coffee makers
  • Candles
  • Illegal drugs
  • Electrical Transformers
  • Flammable liquids and explosives, such as fireworks.

Evening Attire

Evenings aboard Celebrity include three types of dress: formal, informal and casual.

Formal attire calls for an evening gown or cocktail dress for ladies and a tuxedo, dinner jacket or dark suit for gentlemen. Elegant, formal evenings include the Captain's Welcome Cocktail Party and Dinner and the Captain's Farewell Dinner.

On informal nights, ladies may wear an informal dress or pants and blouse, while gentlemen may wear a jacket and tie with slacks. Casual nights call for casual, comfortable wear, so women may opt for a pantsuit or sporty outfit while gentlemen may choose a sport shirt and slacks.

The daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the appropriate attire each evening. Dining in jeans, t-shirts, shorts, tank tops or swimsuits detracts from the overall ambience and is therefore not allowed in the main dining room after 6:00pm.

Children and Youth

Club HalŪ Youth Program
Holland America has a youth program for kids and teens age 5-17. Each ship is staffed with a professional Club HAL Director dedicated to making sure children have a great time. Some of the fun-filled activities include bingo for prizes, arts & crafts, special parties and much more. Each participant also receives a Club HAL t-shirt. An activity schedule for each age group will be delivered to your stateroom each evening.

Activities are offered for kids (ages 5-8), 'tweens (9-12) and teens (13-17). The program has an open door policy, which means participants may come and go as they please. All activities are supervised; however, the Club HAL Director is not responsible for any child if he/she chooses to leave the activity. Children under five years of age are welcome to participate in the program, provided an adult accompanies them.

All showrooms are nonsmoking during performances.
