CHICHEN ITZA
|
Visit
the capital of the Mayan Civilization and discover one
of the richest ancient cultures in the world. Located
some 126 miles (200 km) from Cancun, Chichen Itza was
the most important and advanced ceremonial and religious
center in Mesoamerica.
Attempt to climb the most famous and visited structure
on the site, “The Castle” or “Temple of Kukulcan”, a
magnificent 70 feet (10 m) high pyramid. According to
tradition, it is visited twice a year from this Mayan
God during the equinox who manifest himself in the form
of a serpent of light and descends from the main
stairway. Guided tour to the archaeological site will
